iPhone Cribbage Board
Over the Thanksgiving holiday, me and my brother started a best-of-13 series of cribbage, but sadly I had to head home with with a 6-4 series lead. When he came by my place the following week to finish the match, we had to keep score using paper and pen. Since cribbage is essentially just a card game, I decided to create this iPhone cribbage scoreboard so cribbage lovers can pack a deck of cards and their iPhone and be all set to play a game.
The online cribbage board is located here: iPhone Cribbage Scoreboard. Read on for some instructions.
The scoreboard is fairly simple to operate. There are 3 colored tracks- to select which one you want to move, click on the matching colored score area. You can then either click on the individual pegs to move (a true test of your iPhone navigation skills), or use the numbers to move a specific amount for that color. To restart the game, you can move your pegs back to the beginning, or just reload the browser.
If you actually use the game please leave a comment and let me know what you think. Some enhancements I am considering:
- save your current score (possibly to a cookie)
- track game series scores
- undo button
The scorekeeper is entirely JavaScript, so feel free to copy the source and do whatever with it, just maintain a link to this web site. Look for more iPhone apps to come at iphone.aboone.com.

Very cool. I don’t have the iphone, but this seems like a really cool idea. Best of luck with it and keep me posted on further developments at Cribbaholics Unanimous: http://www.cribblog.blogspot.com

I wonder if Java will ever be supported on the iPhone? Or is it now? I currently play on my Mac at eCribbage.com, they have a great cribbage java app and there’s more and more people joining every day. It’s a really fun community. They currently have traditional cribbage, as well as Kings Cribbage and looks like they’re going to add more variations (like muggins, joker’s wild, etc) soon as well!

Great job on the iPhone cribbage board! I have put a link to it on my iPhone cribbage page on Cribbage Corner:

Have you got any plans for a full cribbage game for the iPhone?
